Between the Kingdom of the Thunder Hooves and the Kingdom of the Furless Ones are the Spotted Stalkers. The furthest north any Furless One would dare to venture. In the winter, the world is an ice palace, so named the palace of the Spotted Stalkers. Beneath the large forever standing ice is a large catherdral entrance hall that marks the entrance of the Ice Palace. Everying this made out of ice. There is no wood or metal holding anything up. It was all carved out over centuries by past Kings and Queens. Brazers and torchs warm the ice palace but it's still below freezing temperatures so the ice never melts. For the Spotted Stalkers, this is home. They don't feel the deadened cold that hovers in the palace. In fact, they have to open vents to cool down the palace when there are too many warm bodies in the palace. Their beds are blocks of ice with furs laid out and they have a dining hall only for matters of state and state dinners. Otherwise, the Spotter Stalkers eat their own personal carcass in their own rooms. The grounds around the Ice Palace are archs and cliffs made of ice that are too treacherous for the inexperienced. Though this may be the one of the most formidable places in the Empire, it was too easily invaded by the Furless Ones.
This is the most southern end of the Kingdom of the Spotted Stalkers that borders with the Furless Ones. Once you come down the mountain from the Ice Palace, you eventually meet forests and green. It's relativly warmer here and most Spotted Stalkers tend to avoid this part of their territory beacuse they stick out so much because of their fur and also because it's so much warmer. Only the Hunter's, who bring in the carcasses for the meals, hunt here because, let's face it, no animals besides Spotted Stalkers live near the Ice Palace. There's also a winter palace here for the King and Queen when they need to step out and enjoy something a little more warmer. You always have to travel in pairs here because, being so close to the Furless Ones, there's always a chance of an attack and you always want to be able to defend yourself. This is prime Furless One's territory.
This is the most northern part of the Kingdom of the Spotter Stalkers that borders the Thunder Hooves. It tends to get flatter here because it's coming out of the Ice Mountains and more into the frozen tundra that makes up the Kingdom of the Thunder Hooves. This is excellant running terrain. If your Spotted Stalker is tired of being in a closed place and wants to get out and streach his legs, this is the best for it. It is flat for miles and is a huge thick slab of ice that is flawless. Over the summer, the Spotted Stalkers hold a sort of celebration with the Thunder Hooves and have events and competitions aganist each other. They are usually played here. It's a lot colder here than the Ice Palace but not as cold as the Kingdom of the Thunder Hooves. Many of the Spotted Stalkers who don't live in the palace have made their homes here on the tundra by digging out large cavernous areas in the ice.
It's a trick of your mind and of your eyes. The Mirror Palace is an amazing design by a King many many centuries ago. From a newcomer's point of view, the palace of the Death Claws is under water. But, look again. When you walk across the water, you don't sink. In fact, the water is hardly an inch deep. It sits on feet of naturally made diamonds that makes the water look like it's deeper than it really is. In the middle of this giant body of water is a single large tree that is the entrance way to the Mirror Palace. You follow a large winding staircase beneath the casing of diamonds. Once beneath it, you will see that it's reflects the palace whereas, it was transparent on the surface. Long ago, something created a huge hole in the ground, wiping out what had once been a lake. The King of the Death Claws at the time, found a deposit of diamonds and decided to create the Mirror Image that is the Mirror Palace. It's an excellant defense maunever beause unless you know where the entrance is, you can't get in. Diamond is the hardest thing in the world and nothing has ever been made to break it so penatrating the feet deep diamond would be an impossible feat. The palace is made of regular stone and practically built on top of a fountain of water. Everywhere you walk in the palace, there is some kind of fountain of water or decoration that incorporates water. It's considered one of the most beautiful palaces in the Empire because the Death Claws love their nature and they always have some kind of plant at every turn and because the palace literally has water running down it's walls, everything stays alive and grows, forming around the palace.
Things are not always what they seem to be in this forest. A screeching bat could become the clattering leaves, or the roar of a bear could turn into the groan of a tree. Creatures that enter this forest must be careful and have a steady mind or they could go insane inside the midst of the shadow hallucinations. Some animals have the strength or immunity that allows them to enter without being affected by the shadows and the trickery of nature but others don't survive. Shadowed forest is a place for darker Death claws. Those that are up for the challenge and are able to withstand the terrors of nature and the mind itself.
Sunrise palace is a place to behold, dark, light, bland and bold all in one. Every part of the land is full of life and color. It sit on a lake in a mountain like terrain. During the day it is turned green from the mountains that surround it so it looks like grass, but as the sun sets the sun shines between the cracks and turns the lake different colors as the time goes by. Orange, pink, purple, all the colors dancing in the water and outlining the mountains in gold. The Thunderhooves often gallop along this mountain palace in search of grass to eat and water to drink from the magical lake, in safety from harmful predators. It is easy to hide among the hills and escape from site of things that wish to bring harm to the Thunderhooves. Some have been seen slinking into the green lake during the day and then disapearing beneathe it, making the viewer feel crazy, which also protects them from harm. The palace entrence lay under the water, a short distance from the surface. there is a foot hold around the edges after you step under where the Thunderhooves can then make one short leap underwater and enter the palace.
Once, long ago, before there was time or written text, dragons roamed Amalhe, peaceful beings with no real reason to leave. Until the creatures of the Empire now drove them out, leaving behind their most sacred of places, the Citadel. Openings of caves litter the entire face and underground caverns and passages criss-cross through it. Many Sharp Wings live here but they tend to keep to themselves. They came here so they wouldn't have to associate with the Furless Ones or the war. It is more of a neutral area. The border of the Death Claws is visable from the cave entrances.
